Keeper Film Room

A working library of goalkeeper video, sorted into thirteen coaching modules. Reels are quick — watch one on the sideline and coach it immediately. Sit-downs are the long ones, for a classroom session or homework. Tick a box when you’ve used it; the page remembers on this device.

Set Position, Stance & Body Shape

11 videos

Everything downstream fails if the set is late or the hands are low. Start here with both keepers, even if they think they know it.

Footwork & Movement

15 videos

Shuffle, crossover, drop step, and the power step that loads every dive. Cheap to train, and it's where most goals-conceded actually start.

Handling & Catching

27 videos

W/contour catch, the scoop, low gathers, and the grip work that makes them stick. Include the deflection-and-parry material here.

04

Diving & Shot Stopping

66 videos

The biggest module. Watch the landing-safety videos before the highlight-y ones — then low, mid, extension, weak side, and reaction work.

Crosses, Corners & Aerial Balls

40 videos

Starting position, the go-or-stay decision, catching at the highest point, and the punch-versus-catch call that separates levels.

Breakaways, 1v1s & Blocking Shapes

34 videos

Reading the touch, staying tall, and the block shapes — K-block, spread, smother. Plenty of pro footage in this one.

07

Positioning, Angles & Sweeper-Keeper

34 videos

The ball–goal line, depth off the line, near-post principles, and defending the space behind a high line.

Distribution & Playing Out

64 videos

Throwing, kicking, both feet, and receiving under a press. The Ederson and Onana clips are the ones they'll actually want to copy.

Communication — Commands & Organising the Defence

12 videos

Short module, high leverage. Getting a back line to listen is a trainable skill, not a personality trait.

10

Set Pieces — Corners, Walls, Penalties

23 videos

Organising the box, building a wall from the goal line, and reading a penalty run-up. The Martinez and Joe Hart clips are pro footage.

Mentality & Handling Mistakes

15 videos

The reset routine after conceding, nerves, and confidence. Good homework material — it lands better away from the field.

Full analysis of elite keepers. Use these as the ‘here's what it looks like done right’ reference for every module above.

Long-form complete sessions and playlists — steal drills, or hand one over as a self-training plan.

Channels worth subscribing to

13 sources

Rather than chasing single videos, point the keepers at a few of these and let the algorithm do the rest. The analysis channels are the ones that show pro footage and explain what the keeper actually did.

How this list was built, honestly. These came from a broad search sweep, then were curated by topic, source and how instructional the video looks — not by watching all of them end to end. Treat it as a stocked shelf, not a graded reading list: skim two or three in a module, keep the ones that teach the way you coach, and ignore the rest. YouTube links do rot, so if one is dead, the module heading is your search term. The printable Training Checklist is a companion curriculum, not a section-by-section mirror of this page: modules 1–9 line up, and the checklist then diverges — it covers set-piece organisation, Laws of the Game and game management where this library covers the specific set-piece situations, mentality and pro film study.
