Michigan Soccer Training ("we," "us," or "the site") is a free guide to Michigan youth soccer at michigansoccertraining.com. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains, plainly, what information the site touches and what happens to it.

The short version

What we collect

Nothing you don't give us. Browsing the site requires no account, sign-up, or personal information. If you submit a suggestion through our suggestion form, we receive what you type — typically a correction or a video link, plus an email address if you choose to include one so we can follow up. We use it only to act on your suggestion.

Standard hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes basic technical data required to serve the site — IP address, browser type, pages requested. We use aggregate, anonymized analytics to understand which pages help people; we do not build profiles of individual visitors.

What stays on your device

The player card creator processes everything locally in your browser: photos, names, stats, and the AI background-removal model all run on your device. Closing the tab discards them. Video favorites are stored in your browser's local storage under a key named mst-video-favs; clearing your browser data removes them.

Embedded videos (YouTube)

Training videos play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set advertising cookies unless you play a video. When you press play, YouTube (Google) processes data under Google's Privacy Policy. Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers. We choose the privacy-enhanced player specifically to minimize tracking, and nothing loads until you press play.

Text messaging (SMS)

If we offer text alerts in the future (for example, tryout-date reminders), the following commitments will apply:

Children's privacy

This site is written for parents, coaches, and players, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The card creator's on-device design means a child's photo is never transmitted to us. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our suggestion form, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

We link out to clubs, leagues, YouTube channels, and other external sites. Their privacy practices are their own — check their policies. Our "Find a Pro"-style outbound links pass no personal information.

Changes & contact

If our practices change, this page and its date will change first. Questions or requests (including deletion of anything you've submitted): use the suggestion form and mark it "privacy."
